Common questions

What equipment can I use?

Zora connects to compatible Bluetooth cycling trainers and sensors. Automatic resistance and route simulation require a trainer that supports the Bluetooth Fitness Machine Service (FTMS) and the relevant control features. Available ride metrics depend on what your equipment reports. Send us your exact model if you need help checking compatibility.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. You can record a ride on your iPhone without heart rate, use an Apple Watch, or choose a compatible Bluetooth heart-rate sensor. Chest straps and armbands that use the standard Bluetooth Heart Rate Service are supported.

My trainer or sensor will not connect

Confirm Bluetooth is turned on and Zora has Bluetooth permission in Settings. Wake the trainer or sensor, disconnect it from other apps, and try connecting again from Zora. If the issue continues, restart the accessory and your iPhone.

My Apple Watch is not showing heart rate

Make sure Zora Cycling is installed on your Apple Watch and that Health permissions are enabled. Keep your watch unlocked and worn snugly, then begin the ride again.

A workout is missing from Apple Health

Check that Zora can write Workouts and the related cycling data in the Health app. If a ride is still visible in Zora, do not delete or reinstall the app before contacting support.

Is Premium a subscription?

No. Zora Premium is a one-time purchase with no subscription or automatic renewal. Quick Ride remains free after your trial ends.

What does Premium include?

Follow structured workouts, test your FTP, or build your own session. Ride routes and climbs, compare your effort with a previous ride, or explore an area and choose where to go along the way. One purchase unlocks all current Premium features.

How does the free trial work?

Your 14 days of unlimited Premium access start after you complete five minutes of moving time on your first Premium ride. Try workouts, routes, and area rides as often as you like during that time.

You get at least three qualifying Premium rides in total. Each ride counts after five minutes of moving time. If you have used fewer than three when the 14 days end, the remaining rides stay available until you use them.

There is no automatic charge. Quick Ride stays free, and you can choose whether to buy Premium.

How do workout power targets work?

Power targets are based on your functional threshold power (FTP), measured in watts. Set your FTP in your profile or use an FTP test to update it. Workouts then match your current level, from recovery rides to hard intervals.

A compatible trainer can adjust resistance to follow supported power targets. The control features available depend on your trainer.

Can I use my own workouts and routes?

Yes. Build a workout with steady blocks and ramps, or choose Import GPX Route in the route library to add your own route.

Workouts and routes require Premium access through a purchase or trial. To feel the climbs, use a compatible smart trainer with gradient control.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Zora Premium in the app and choose Restore Purchase while signed in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. App Store billing and refund requests are managed by Apple.

How does Zora handle my data?

Zora does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. Most workout and profile processing occurs on your device. Read the full Privacy Policy for details about Health, iCloud, purchases, and your choices.
